Ancelotti happy with result against Arsenal
Tonights game ended 0-0 but this is not to say that Arsenal or Milan did not have a chance to change the scoreboard.
Arsenal started the game strong, as Liverpool did against Inter Milan. They had a few good chances but most were hit straight at the Milan keeper except for the last few seconds of the match when Adebayor hit the crossbar. Fabregas played excellent football and found Adebayor countless times but he was not able to convert. The short passes around the box really hurt Milan and they were not able to contain Arsenal and only managed by bringing players back. Hence, causing them problems in offense.
Although Arsenal played well the scoreboard did not depict it and Milan will now have to do what they can when they play at home. Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with the result however stated that not scoring tonight does not put them in a good position.
“The 0-0 is not a fundamental result but it’s a good one,â€
“It’s not a result which makes us feel comfortable but we did play well and we did suffer a little.
“We could have played better. It will be difficult in the second leg but we hope we can go through.”
Carlo Ancelotti also explained his decision to play Pato from the start.
“We started with him because we wanted some pace in attack. With Pato we had more opportunities because their defence plays a high line.â€

Milan need to sort out there offense if they want to beat Arsenal. With Ronaldo gone Pato needs to step up and I’m sure he will provding he stops slipping.
