AC Milan vs Torino Highlights
Alexandre Pato gives Milan all three points
Alexandre Pato scored a goal after a beautiful pass from Gilardino to give Milan all three points. Milan need to win every game if they are to qualify for the Champions League next year.
However, Pato is confident that Milan will finish in fourth place and qualify in the Champions League next year.
“I am optimistic and I am convinced that we will reach the Champions League places,” said after the game.
He also showed his respect for Gilardino, pointing out that it was Gilardino’s pass that set up the easy goal.
“We played a great match against a team who played well. We attacked a lot before we managed to score.”
“On the move that resulted in the goal, Gila [Alberto Gilardino] played a great ball through and all I had to do was poke it in.”
Milan face Atalanta at home next week.
It ends 1-2 against Sampdoria
It was not Milan’s night tonight, as Sampdoria scored 2 goals before the half. A 12th minute goal by Maggio and a 25th minute by Delvecchio made it difficult for Milan to comeback. The defense was once again appalling and the offense was not helped by Kaka leaving due to injury.
Alexandre Pato played an excellent game tonight but it was Paloschi that found the back of the net in the second half. Pato moved into a more midfield position and played a good role in the absense of Kaka. A late long range strike from Pato went over the crossbar which would have given Milan 1 point.
Gilardino again failed to inspire and it looks more like the striker will be sold at the end of the season. With Pato being Ancelotti’s first choice, the former first team striker has not had much playing time. It is rumoured that Milan will bring back Shevchenko. The other option is to buy Drogba, Benzema or Berbatov at the end of the season.
