LA Galaxy and AC Milan have agreed a loan move for Beckham in January. Beckham will arrive on the 7th of January when the transfer season opens and will be there for three months. The short stint will provide Beckham with excellent training conditions and top class football, hence keeping him fit for England during the MLS offseason.
Beckham will wear the number 75 as both 7 and 23 have been taken by Pato and Ambrosini. The reason for wearing the number 75 is to mark the year of his birth. Ronaldinho also chose his jersey number 80 for the same reason.
Ronaldo started the era of double digit jersey numbers when he chose the number 99. He would have taken the number 9 but it was not available as Inzaghi owned the number when Ronaldo arrived.
Beckham will likely undergo medical tests December 20 and be introduced a day later, when the club will unveil his jersey number.
He is set to travel with Milan to Dubai for a midwinter training camp, which includes a friendly.
Beckham’s first competitive game for Milan could come in the capital against AS Roma on January 11.
He will become the first English player to play for the club since 1987, when Ray Wilkins and Mark Hateley left the club.
