Thiago Silva’s Debut against Hannover 96
Tonights friendly against Hannover 96 will debute the Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva.. Silva arrived from Fluminense but is unable to play an official match until July due to the limit of non-EU players, where Milan already have two in the squad.
Silva will feature in the game tonight as it is only a friendly and he is hoping it will all go well.
“I’m ready, it’s a very important moment for me today, a moment I was waiting for,” said Silva.
“It’s a friendly game but it is and will remain the first game with the Milan shirt. I hope it can go all well. The atmosphere inside the team will surely help me, as a I found a very familiar environment; I’m really happy to be here. With many Brazilian players in the team and with my family in Milan, I’m recovering all my habits and all of my reference points,” he added.
He also spoke about bring closes to pato out of all his teammates.
“Pato is a great friend, we got to know each other in the youth teams of the Brazilian national team. He will not depart with us today for Hannover, he will remain in Milan to work, but I know that he will follow with affection my performance tonight and he will continue to stay close to me. Pato is doing very well, his goals can be seen by everyone. He is doing well both during the games and training.”
And of course he he was asked about Kaka.
“I’m particularly happy, like all the Rossoneri fans. Kaka is football and with him I hope that Milan can celebrate a win at the end of the season.”
Money isn’t everything says Kaka
Kaka has rejected an offer from Manchester City saying ‘Money isn’t everything.’
After the last game against Fiorentina, we were all worried that Kaka would leave Milan after hugging his teammates and then a wave to the fans that seemed more like a final goodbye but the great news delivered by Berlusconi has confirmed that Kaka will remain at Milan.
These are the words of Berlusconi during his interview with Sky Sports 24,
“That’s the end of the story. I am truly delighted to have kept Kaka at Milan.
“Kaka is a great champion and a great man. He’s refused the offer from Manchester City giving privilege to Milan, his companions and his fans.
“He said it’s because money isn’t everything in life.
“Kaka is staying with us and we’re delighted. Money is important but there are also other things that are important.
“The fans are delighted too. Turning down so much money is something to admire.”
