Ronaldino in Milan

Ronaldinho has chosen to the number 80 to go on the back of his shirt. Whilst with Barcelona, Ronaldinho wore the number 10. On transfering to Milan, he was unable to keep the number 10 as it is currently being worn by Clarence Seedorf.

Ronaldinho did not expect Seedorf to give up his number as suggetsed by the media as he does not believe that a number makes a player great.

The reason for choosing 80 is that Ronaldinho was born in 1980.

However, there is a slight problem with the number 80 as the company that manages Ronaldinho’s image rights is named R10. It is yet to be revealed if the company will change its name to R80.
