Prepare your guest list weeks or months in advance so no one gets left out. Depending on the theme of your party, you can search the web for the right images for your invitations. There are also many free printables that are available online. You can also hire the services of professionals to make your invitations. Once your invitations are ready, send them out two to three weeks prior to the party. Don't send the invitations when it is already very near the party date because your guests might have made other plans and commitments.
You will also need to tell the children invited to the festivity about the theme, so they can come dressed appropriately according to the festivity theme. Elder children prefer a dance gathering and the children do their own decoration and music choice for the gathering.
A princess party theme gets right down to the food and beverages on offer. Only serve finger food which will allow the princesses to maintain their princess style and elegance. Overly messy foods should be avoided. Princesses are NOT messy! Finger sandwiches, some cookies, ham and cheese rollups, a fruit plate, etc, are always a good idea for a princess party. A cake is also important although care needs be taken to maintain the royal air. Ginger ale, fruit punch or some other beverages will work great.
Be careful who you tell. Remember that it becomes harder to keep things a secret, in direct proportion to the number of people that you tell. Only a key group of people should know at first. If you want to expand the guest list, you will have to invite others at the last possible moment. This is the only way that the secret won't get out and back to the birthday boy or girl.
As your child gets older, you have more options for kids' birthday party places. It's all thanks to longer attention spans and an excitement for learning in children ages 4 through 10 years. First, make a list of your child's favorite activities and keep their personality in mind. This will help you decide on the best place for a party. Imagine a pony themed party at a petting zoo or ranch. If your child likes penguins, maybe the zoo or aquarium would be nice. If it's summer, then beach might be a great option for the party.
